• If you're requesting to pick up your order in our store, please await a personal order confirmation email from our staff to allow time for order processing and insure book availability. Orders submitted outside of our normal hours of operation will be processed by our staff on our next business day. Remember that actual on hand title quantities can fluctuate quickly, especially for popular titles. 

• To redeem your paper Elliott Bay Book Company Gift Certificate or Credit Slip online, please enter your document number in the order comments field. For shipped orders, entering a credit card number for payment will help expedite your order, but we will only charge your remaining unpaid balance (if any) to your charge card. Please note e-Book orders are handled by Kobo e-Books directly and our Gift Certificates currently cannot be applied for those online purchases. 

• If you'd like complimentary giftwrap on your prepaid purchase, please note that in the comments field when placing your order. Items giftwrapped need to be paid for in advance of wrapping. 

• If you are requesting an autographed book from one of our events or require any other special handling, please make a comment notation. We will make every effort to fulfill your request.

• Titles noted as "Special Order" are not in stock at the store or any of our distributors. These titles may also not be currently available from the publisher. We will attempt to order them for you and notify you of your order status. Occassionally prepayment is required by these "Special Order" publishers when the books are available. Entering your credit card information when submitting these orders can greatly expedite the process and you won't be charged if the book is no longer available.

• Shipping quotes for store orders are estimated and will be adjusted to actual cost before you are charged. If you wish to ship something outside of the US/Canada with a foreign billing address, note that in the comments field and mark your order "Pickup at store" and "Pay for at store." We will adjust your order for the appropriate amount of shipping and contact you to secure payment and your shipping information.

• To help deter credit card fraud, for your security when placing orders, the billing address you enter for your account needs to match that of the billing address associated with your credit card in order for your credit card payment to authorize. If you need assistance, please call the store at 1-800-962-5311. While our system will obtain credit card authorization from your bank for pending orders in process, you will not normally be charged until your order is completed. Charges will appear on your statement from the AMERICAN BOOKSELLERS ASSOCIATION.

• Please be sure to actually submit your order to us for processing! If your receive any "error" message, your order was not submitted successfully. Orders left "In Checkout" on your account have not been submitted. If our staff can be of any assistance, please contact us! 1-800-962-5311.
