Co-presented with REACT THEATRE and sponsored by the MAYOR'S OFFICE OF ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS. Elliott Bay's Tenth Annual Staged Play Reading Series adds one more exciting Seattle premiere play reading (rescheduled from October 17) to this year's lineup, local playwright Steven Dietz's haunting new Last of the Boys. Ben and Jeeter fought in Vietnam and, for thirty years, they have remained united by a war that divided a nation. As the night deepens, the past makes a return appearance, and its many ghosts flicker to life. Don't miss this fierce and funny play about a friendship that ends and a war that does not. "Last of the Boys is to the Vietnam War what Angels in America was to the AIDS crisis." - Talkin' Broadway. This presentation is dedicated to ReAct artist T.J. Langley, originally slated to star in this piece before his unexpected death last month. A brief tribute to Mr. Langley will take place at the start of today's staging. Suggested donation ($5) at the door in support of ReAct's T.J. Langley Memorial Fund. Reservations encouraged. For more information, please see www.reacttheatre.org.
