BARBARA BRENNER Memorial Reading with BARBARA SJOHOLM, SUSIE LAMPERT, & OTHERS

Co-presented with Washington ACLU and Breast Cancer Action. Barbara Brenner was a hell-raiser of the first order. As Breast Cancer Action’s executive director for 15 years, she was a fiery advocate for women living with and at risk of breast cancer. Her wit, clarity, and courage put BCAction on the map as a radical women’s health activist organization. So Much to Be Done (University of Minnesota Press) is a powerful collection of Barbara Brenner’s writings, edited by Port Townsend author Barbara Sjoholm, with an afterword by Anne Lamott. Join Barbara Sjoholm, Susie Lampert, Theresa Wang and others to celebrate Barbara Brenner’s book about feminism, civil rights, health activism, and living and dying on one’s own terms.
