Saturday University Tea Times: Cultures, Commerce, and Conflict Lecture Series, presented by the GARDNER CENTER FOR ASIAN ART AND IDEAS, in partnership with the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON JACKSON SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES and ELLIOTT BAY BOOK COMPANY. This morning continues this fall’s lecture series featuring scholars, practitioners, and others who will discuss aspects of the part tea has played in Asia’s commerce, religious practices, and the arts . Today’s speaker is Erika Rappaport,  a professor at University of California, Santa Barbara.
