FIRST SECOND COMICS PANEL & GAME NIGHT at Seattle Public Central Library

Please join us for a celebration of young adult graphic novels and of publisher First/Second. Tonight’s festivities include a panel of author/illustrators, a book signing and a game of Pictionary. Gene Luen Yang, National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, is the author of many graphic novels, including Boxers and Saints, American Born Chinese (which was a National Book Award Finalist) and Secret Coders. Ignatz Award winning cartoonist Box Brown’s books include Andre the Giant and he is the publisher of Retrofit Comics. Parisian graphic novel author Penelope Bagieu is the author of Exquisite Corpse and of California Dreamin’, a biography of Mama Cass. Matthew Loux is the author and artist of Sidescrollers and of the Salt Water Taffy series. Moderating tonight’s panel is Jen Vaughn.
