Co-presented with HUGO HOUSE.
Brooklyn author Melissa Febos, who first appeared at Elliott Bay to speak about her memoir, Whip Smart, returns tonight to read from Abandon Me (Bloomsbury), in which she captures the intense bonds of love and need for connection--with family, lovers and with oneself.
“Erotic and dark, Abandon Me is a courageous exploration of love as the ultimate form of plenitude and annihilation.”-Kirkus Reviews.
Melissa Febos is a nonfiction faculty member in the MFA program at Institute of American Indian Arts.
Melissa Febos also appears with Elissa Washuta and Quenton Baker on March 14 as part of Hugo House’s Oracle series at the Sorrento Hotel (free/start time is 7:30 p.m.)
