Writer and educator Moses Howard, whose long career included over many years as a counselor, mentor, administrator and teacher of science (including his years at Seattle’s Middle College High School), accolades from the Alliance for Education and a Fullbright Fellowship in Uganda, reads from his novel Nzinga: African Warrior Queen (Jugum Press). Inspired by his travels in Africa (where he met and married his wife) and his experiences reading and teaching about African history, Nzinga is a fictionalized biography of an Angolan leader who for forty years resisted the imperial colonists seeking to enslave her people.
