Poets! Group Reading with AMARANTH BORSUK, DON MEE CHOI, JENNIFER KRONOVET, SARAH MANGOLD, SARAH ROSENTHAL, JANE WONG
A dynamic group of poets all take to the Elliott Bay stage here tonight, celebrating some very new and recent books from two excellent presses, Action Books and Kore Press. Going alphabetically, tonight’s poets are slated to include Amaranth Borsuk returns here for her newest, Pomegranate Eater (Kore Press), with Abra (1913 Press) also coming out this year. Don Mee Choi has a book of her own work out this year Hardly War (Wave Books). With Action Books, she’s been translating a series of books and poets from the Korean: Kim Hyesoon’s Poor Love Machine, Kim Yideum’s Cheer Up Femme Fatale and three earlier by Kim Hyesoon: All the Garbage of the World, Unite!, Sorrowtoothpaste Mirrorcream, and Mommy Must Be a Mountain of Feathers. Jennifer Kronovet is here with her National Poetry Series selection, The Wug Test (Ecco). Sarah Mangold’s newest book is Giraffes of Devotion (Kore Press). Sarah Rosenthal’s most recent collection is Lizard (Chax Press). Last but very much not least, Jane Wong is here with her much-awaited, fabulous debut collection, Overpour (Action Books).
