MARJANE SATRAPI Monday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Avenue
Presented by the SEATTLE THEATRE GROUP. What a night. How many places can one be at one time, especially when one wants to/should be in at least three. At the Moore Theatre this evening, it is Marjane Satrapi. Like Jhumpa Lahiri, she was last in town when her now-classic graphic narrative memoir, Persepolis (Pantheon) was The Seattle Public Library's "Seattle Reads" choicetwo years ago. Now, of course, an acclaimed movie of that story has been made. Since her last time here, one major book, Chicken with Plums (Pantheon) has come along. Born and raised in Iran, living in Paris now, she is also a delight on stageas those who attend tonight will see for themselves. Tickets ($25-$32) are available through www.ticketmaster.com, or (206) 292-2787, or at the Moore's box office. The Moore Theatre is located at 1932 Second Avenue (at Virginia). For more information, please see www.themoore.com or call (206) 467-5510.
