JESSICA BRUDER Monday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Labor Day weekend, for more and more, means the Burning Man festival, held annually in the Black Rock Desert. Portland, Oregon-based journalist Jessica Bruder, whose writing credentials include The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New York Observer, and, presently, The Oregonian, has herself been a five-time attendee. Her new book, Burning Book: A Visual History of Burning Man (Simon & Schuster Entertainment), is a vivid account, in pictures and text, of this unique, still-evolving gathering, now twenty-one years along.
