Special Five-day ART OF MODERN ROCK POSTER EXHIBITION Display

While we are always inviting folks to come in and see the wares on display here—primarily, books—this is word of a special reason to come down this week, as we host a touring exhibit of art work from the terrific and popular big book, Art of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion (Chronicle). Compiled by Paul Grushkin and Dennis King, this beauty, come hither cover and all, is a wonderful guided tour through many of the best, most striking art posters done for rock. POSTER ARTIST BOOKSIGNING

Expected artists include AMES BROS., ANDRIO ABERO, JAMIE BURTON, JUSTON HAMPTON, TODD LOVERING, PATENT PENDING. A special touring exhibit of framed posters from one of the fall's Favorite titles, Paul Grushkin and Dennis King's Art of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion (Chronicle) is on display in Elliott Bay windows and sections of the store for a unique five-day run. Art of Modern Rock has been a hit everywhere. Several Seattle artists feature prominently in the book, and a number of them will be on hand for a book-signing and talking visit Saturday adternoon. They will be displaying a number of their own posters during the signing, in addition to those on display with the traveling exhibit. Fun and lively this gathering should be.
