AN EVENING OF HARVEY GOLDNER with BOBBY BYRD & Friends

The life and work of Harvey Goldner, the 'bard of Belltown' who passed away last July, are celebrated here tonight with a "Resurrection of Harvey Goldner" group reading from a posthumously-published book of his poems, The Resurrection of Bert Ringold (Cinco Puntos). Cinco Puntos publisher Bobby Byrd, a longtime correspondent of Harvey's, comes to Seattle to help mark the occasion, and will be joined by an array of people who knew, were helped by, and poetically involved with Harvey...including Arnie Pihl, Chris Dusterhoff, Crysta Casey, David Fewster, Brian McGuigan, Maged Zaher, and J. Glenn Evans. Harvey Goldner was a frequent part of Elliott Bay's monthly open mike evenings. This should be a good and lively night.
