BICH MINH NGUYEN Wednesday, February 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the High Point Branch, Seattle Public Library, 3411 SW Raymond Street
Co-presented with THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY. Nearly a year ago, one of the highlights of our winter season was PEN/Jerard Award-winning Bich Minh Nguyen's reading from her then-newly published memoir of growing up Vietnamese American in very blonde, mostly-Christian, 1970s-era Michigan. Her evening here for the new paperback, Stealing Buddha's Dinner (Penguin), makes this our first co-presented evening at the High Point branch library. "Only a truly gifted writer could make me long for Kool-Aid, Rice-A-Roni, and Kit Kats ... [a] charming, funny and original memoir." – Judy Blume. The High Point branch of the Seattle Public Library is located at 3411 SW Raymond Street, in West Seattle's High Point neighborhood. Free admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, please call (206) 615-1637 or see www.spl.org.
