In this slide-illustrated presentation, photographer Bruce Barnbaum highlights work from his striking photographic project, Tone Poems - Book 2, Opuses 4, 5 & 6 (Photographic Arts Editions). As with its predecessor, and its planned sequels, this book of photographs is accompanied by a cd that features piano performance by noted Seattle pianist Judith Cohen. The book itself is an object of beauty, with high-quality, tri-tone printing. And the photographs, arranged thematically ("Between Real and Surreal," "Aftermath," "Among the Trees"), lend themselves well to visual, verbal, and musical contemplation.
