Elliott Bay's Ninth Annual Staged Play Reading Series continues with another special offsite event and a reading presentation of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, Angels in America, Part 1: Millennium Approaches. At it's core, this Gay Fantasia on national themes tells the story of two couples whose relationships are disintegrating, set in America in the 1980s against a backdrop of greed, conservatism, sexual politics, and the discovery of AIDS. It is this backdrop that provides the show its magnitude and sets it apart from other epic dramas.
