SPICY WORDS & VOICES Group Reading Saturday, June 16 at 3 p.m. at Microsoft Auditorium, Seattle Public Central Library, 1000 Fourth Avenue.
Co-presented by LOS NORTEÑOS and THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY. This second annual "Spicy Words and Voices" reading is an afternoon of poetry, short stories, and spoken word by local Latino writers and performers. Approximately fifteen writersincluding Catalina Cantú, José Carrillo, Carmen Carrion, Angela Martinez Dy, Dino Flores Laura Gonz´lez, Ricardo Guarnero, Eugenia Toledo Keyser, Nélida Mendoza, Maijah Merino Donna Miscolta, Gabriel Moráles, Maria Victoria Muguíra, J. Andrew Rodriguez and Raúl S´nchez among themsome working in Spanish, some in English, will read and perform. Los Flacos will also perform music. Free admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Seattle Public Central Library is located at 1000 Fourth Avenue (between Madison and Spring). Parking in the Central Library garage will be available for a $5 special event rate.
