Four years it has already been since David Sedaris packed the joint to the rafters and beyond (he signed for people out on the sidewalk) for Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. We are utterly thrilled to again present him for his much-awaited, much-anticipated new book of essays, When You Are Engulfed in Flames (Little, Brown). Somewhere in here is a story of going to Tokyo—of all places3to quit smoking. Free tickets will be available in person only on a first-come first-serve basis, with a limit of two per person, starting Tuesday, June 3. His talk will be broadcast into the café and into the first two rooms of the bookstore upstairs and some limited overflow standing room will be available for those without tickets as space allows.
