Living and working out of Flagstaff, Michael Collier has been a working professional photographer for over thirty-five years. He is here tonight to present his striking new book of photography, Over the Mountains: An Aerial View of Geology (Mikaya/Firefly). With photographs taken from an aerial vantage (his own fifty-year-old small plane) over the mountain ranges and landscapes of the U.S., this is a compelling visual record that gives readers/viewers the opportunity to compare the many different landforms we are amidst.
