The Hugo Literary Series presents "ANSWERED PRAYERS" with SHERMAN ALEXIE, MICHELLE TEA, DAVID SCHMADER & music by SEAN NELSON Friday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall Seattle, 1119 Eighth Avenue
Presented by RICHARD HUGO HOUSE. On this lively night at Town Hall, we do the book work both downstairs and up. Hugo House presents its concluding themed evening featuring writers with new and original work. In this case, it's Sherman Alexie, with both a book of stories, Flight (Black Cat), and a National Book Award-winning novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (Little, Brown) out this past year; Michelle Tea, co-founder of Sister Spit, and author most recently of Rose of No Man's Land (due in paper from Harvest), and editor of several anthologies; Seattle playwright and journalist David Schmader; and writer/musician Sean Nelson, who has a book, Court and Spark (Continuum) to his writing credit, along with his other writing and music credentials. This should be fun ... For information on tickets and on a series of Saturday workshops being held at Hugo House by the writers on Saturday, please see www.hugohouse.org. Town Hall Seattle is located at 1119 Eighth Avenue (at Seneca). This one's upstairs, in the Great Hall.
