DELIA FALCONER Friday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Australian novelist, essayist, and critic Delia Falconer travels to the U.S. to read from her novel The Lost Thoughts of Soldiers (Soft Skull). Published last year to much acclaim in her homeland, The Lost Thoughts of Soldiers was inspired by the story of Frederick Benteen, one of the few survivors of Custer's army at the Little Big Horn. A 2003 James Joyce fellow, Delia Falconer is also the author of The Service of Clouds. "Prose like this has the elliptical quality of poetry." - Sydney Morning Herald.
