We are delighted to have this special midday visit by renowned cookbook author, public television program culinary star, and New York restaurant owner (Felidia, and others) Lidia Matticchio Bastianich. With her daughter Tanya Bastianich Manuali, she has authored a delicious new book, Lidia's Italy: 140 Simple and Delicious Recipes from the Ten Places in Italy Lidia Loves Most (Knopf). Here, ten different regions of her home country, from Istria (now part of Croatia) to Sicily, are explored gastronomically, geographically, and culturally. It is sumptuous going all the way.
