--THIS EVENT POSTPONED, PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR RESCHEDULING--
Buddhist teacher and punk rocker Noah Levine has written about how meditation saved him from a life of crime, drugs, alienation, and pain in his memoir Dharma Punx. Today he returns to speak about the life of Buddha, to give some basic instruction in meditation and to speak about his work with prisoners, all discussed in his new book Against the Stream: A Buddhist Manual for Spiritual Revolutionaries (Harper San Francisco). A son of the Buddhist teacher and author Stephen Levine, Noah Levine has studied with Thich Nhat Hanh, Ram Das, the Dalai Lama, and many other teachers, and has brought the message of Buddhism to new, young audiences worldwide.
