Sunday, May 6 at 3 p.m. at Capitol Hill Branch, Seattle Public Library, 425 Harvard Avenue E

Presented by the WASHINGTON CENTER FOR THE BOOK AT THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY. Members of three leading South Asian cultural organizations—Chaya, Tasveer, and Trikone—will lead this discussion on different aspects of Jhumpa Lahiri's novel, The Namesake (Mariner). Themes such as immigration, identity, family, sexuality, and visibility will be explored. This will also be an excellent opportunity to find out more about the vital work these groups do. Free, no tickets. The Capitol Hill Branch of the Seattle Public Library is located at 425 Harvard Avenue E, (206) 684-4715. For more information, please see www.spl.org.
