For months with five Tuesdays, the Elliott Bay Bookseller Spotlight Book Group is designed for the exploration of a melange of different genres and a variety of lively topics...from underground fiction to travel essays, popular Young Adult tales to inspirational poetry, thought-provoking non-fiction to gay and lesbian literature and more! Our choice this month is Charlotte Sometimes by Penelope Farmer. This is a coming of age novel, a superbly written science fiction story, and an achingly beautiful evocation of a time long past. A boarding school student wakes up in the past, as someone else. The two keep randomly trading places, leaving notes for each other on how to behave. This story, is so awesome that the Cure wrote a song about it. Please join us!
