He who has written ten novels and a number of nonfiction books, and is a thoroughly happy camper on the baseball front (among his books is one on the Boston Red Sox, co-authored with Stephen King) is here with a beautiful, wry, insightful gem of a novel, Last Night at the Lobster (Viking).
