Actor, acting teacher, and improv artist Alison Schumacher is joined by local teens who'll demonstrate a few of the over 50 ACTivities included in her book, Shaking Hands with Shakespeare: A Teenager's Guide to Reading and Performing the Bard (Kaplan). Praised by Todd Coulter of the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Shaking Hands with Shakespeare demystifies language, characters and acting approaches, and encourages teens to 'step inside and become the characters.' This should be a nice segue from the staged reading just previous.
