Co-presented with SEATTLE ARTS & LECTURES. Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Remnick, author of Lenin's Tomb and an acclaimed life and times account of Muhammad Ali, Champion of the World, and currently well-known for his work as editor of The New Yorker, makes this appearance for his first new book in years. The Bridge: The Life and Rise of Barack Obama (Knopf) figures to be the most in-depth, realized biography of our 44th president. He has conducted hundreds of interviews from rivals, teachers, family members, mentors, and President Obama himself. This evening is expected to consist of an onstage conversation with University of Washington professor David S. Domke, who is chair of the UW Department of Communication and co-author of The God Strategy (Oxford University Press), followed by a booksigning.
