An educator, author, child advocate, and parenting expert, Mary Gordon is the founder of Roots of Empathy, an international classroom program that aims to reduce levels of aggression among schoolchildren. Ms. Gordon, a member of the Order of Canada, and an Ashoka Fellow, has chronicled the creation of this award-winning program in her book, Roots of Empathy: Changing the World Child by Child (The Experiment).
