Our second instore program this evening will presented by California writer and mountaineer Kevin Grange, formerly of Seattle (and Seattle University). His 2007 trip along Bhutan's infamous, 216-mile Snowman Trek took him into sacred valleys, tiny villages, and deep into the Himalayas, a story he tells in his book, Beneath Blossom Rain: Discovering Bhutan on the Toughest Trek in the World (Bison Books/University of Nebraska Press). He'll also show images taken along the way by his colleague and traveling companion, National Geographic photographer Peter McBride. "Following Grange through the high Himalayas is a pleasure page by page. Beneath Blossom Rain has left me longing to stand at the top of the world." – Tony D'Souza.
