When she moved to Seattle to take on the directorship of the Henry Art Gallery three years ago, Sylvia Wolf came known as a top curator of photography, including positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art and The Art Institute of Chicago, and as historian/author of numerous well-received studies and monographs. We are delighted to host her here today for an illustrated talk based on her recently published book, The Digital Eye: Photographic Art in the Electronic Age (Prestel). This is both a history and survey of this still-recent and evolving field and how it works as art.
