One of the longest-standing annual programs to take placewherever Elliott Bay has been locatedis the Seattle-based African American Writers Alliance. African American History Month has been highlighted on the last weekend here for upwards of twenty years now. These group readings feature a wide variety of dynamic voices, experiences, and approaches, and much enthusiasm. Among this year's special offerings is a reading of selections from Out of the Cave, II a new chapbook of work written by longtime Alliance member/organizer, Georgia McDade.
