BARB JOHNSON, CATHERINE KIRKWOOD, KAYLEEN DUNSON Group Reading at Richard Hugo House

07/10/2010 6:00 pm

New Orleans writer/carpenter Barb Johnson readers from her short story collection, More of This World or Maybe Another (HarperPerennial), in celebration of A Room of Her Own Foundation (AROHO)—a woman's writing community. Barb Johnson is the most recent winner of AROHO'S Gift of Freedom Award, a grant that will support the writing of her novel. Reading with her today are Seattle AROHO writers Kayleen Dunson and Catherine Kirkwood, author of Cut Away (Arktoi). All are invited for this summer evening of readings, fun, and food—and an invitation to find or expand your own writing community. Free, no tickets required. Richard Hugo House is at 1634 Eleventh Avenue (just north of Pine on Capitol Hill).
