PETER YARROW at Seattle Public Central Library |
Co-presented with the WASHINGTON CENTER FOR THE BOOK AT THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY. Tonight, we help present an evening of music, reminiscence, and story as Peter Yarrow of the folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary makes a special appearance at The Seattle Public Library. Born in 1938, he founded the famous trio with Paul Stookey and the late Mary Travers in 1960, and continues writing and performing to this day. Copies of the children's picture-book versions of their songs, Puff the Magic Dragon, The Peter Yarrow Songbook: Songs for Young Folks, and Day is Done (all published by Sterling) will be available for sale and signing here this evening. Free admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Microsoft Auditorium of the Seattle Public Central Library is at 1000 Fourth Avenue (between Madison and Spring). For more information, please see www.spl.org or call (206) 386-4636.
