One of the eminent elders of the region where poetry is concerned, Duane Niatum has been publishing poetry, fiction, and essays for decades. A Jamestown S'Klallam tribal member who received a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, and has lived, written, and taught in this neck of the woods most of the while since, he reads here this evening with three recent publications: his eighth book of poems, The Pull of the Green Kite (Serif & Pixel Press); a book of poems for young people, Agate Songs on the Path of the Red Cedar (Jamestown/S'Klallam Tribe); and a chapbook of three stories, For Her with No Regrets (Pepin Wi).
