Seattle writer and bicyclist Bill Thorness is here with his recent, excellent primer on local pedaling—Biking Puget Sound: 50 Rides from Olympia to the San Juans (The Mountaineers)—which we have been having the pleasure of peddling. It's expected that this will be an illustrated talk—reflective of the book with its many maps and photos, all to the good of promoting enjoyable bicycle riding in the region. This should be an enjoyable follow-up, too, to the bicycle-themed Town Hall evening earlier in the week with David Byrne (Bicycle Diaries), and local cycling/community folks Dave Janis, Barbara Gray, and Mark Hinshaw.
