The National Book Critics Circle Awards

The National Book Critics Circle was founded in 1974 and consists of nearly 700 active book reviewers. The centerpiece of their activities is the annual awards they present during March for best book of the previous year in several categories. The NBCC membership elects a 24 member all volunteer board which chooses the award recipients.
