Teasha enjoys Beyoncé, burritos, and books and is always trying to combine all three. Teasha began her bookselling career in Milwaukee at Boswell Books, but her desire to escape the bitterly cold winters of the Midwest landed her in Seattle. You'll most likely find her reading children's illustrated books, mainly because books with pictures are extra rad, as well as any and all feminist social criticism and suspense thrillers, but sometimes they scare her.

This novel—wow! I honestly felt like I was in a thriller suspense film, and I loved it. After ten years working as an environmental attorney, Abby returns to her small hometown of Barrens to investigate a potential water contamination case, but she quickly learns that there is more to her case than contamination. As Abby gets closer to the truth, she realizes the conspiracy goes deeper than she thought; it could even be connected to the mysterious disappearance of It Girl, Kaycee Mitchell. Determined to discover the truth of the present and confront the demons of the past, Abby will do whatever it takes and is willing to risk it all. This is the kind of novel that you will finish quickly because you will be reading it every free moment you have.
