Cancelled - Miah Jeffra & Friends

*This event has been cancelled.

Miah Jeffra, founding editor of queer literary collaborative, Foglifter Journal & Press, reads from The Fabulous Ekphrastic Fantastic! (Sibling Rivalry Press), which explores “the nature of gender, sexuality, aesthetics, and love, taking a tiny hammer to the stability of the limits of perception, troubling the tether between perception and memory. At once memoir and cultural criticism, this collection! dis-covers itself as a book about forgiveness, family, and the truths we find in “the lightness of a door,” “the probability of a radio,” the long line between one story and another.”

Miah Jeffra is also the co-editor with Arisa White and Monique Mero, of the anthology Home is Where You Queer Your Heart (Foglifter 2020).  Also reading tonight are authors involved with Foglifter, including Luther Hughes, author of Touched (Sibling Rivalry, 2018) and founder of Shade Literary Arts; poet and “accidental memoirist” Wryly Tender; flash fiction writer Kathryn McMahon; queer, Jewish transmasculine author Jasper Sanchez, whose debut novel, The (Un)Popular Vote is forthcoming from HarperCollins/Tegen Summer 2021 and Kundiman fellow and development director, Dan Lau.
