Cristien Storm with Becky Reitzes
Cristien Storm, co-founder and former Director of Seattle’s Home Alive, is a longtime activist whose work on self-defense, boundary setting and self care is rooted in social justice and progressive liberation theology. Her new book, Empowered Boundaries: Speaking Truth, Setting Boundaries, and Inspiring Social Change (North Atlantic), is a much needed resource for anyone looking to challenge default social conditioning to create empowered relationships for all. A mental health therapist and co-founder of If You Don’t They Will, a Seattle based partnership providing trainings on organized hate groups and white nationalism, she has for many years helped individuals and groups work toward a safer, more equitable community. She appears in conversation with Becky Reitzes, a Home Alive instructor and Sexual Health Educator with Public Health Seattle-King County.
