Co-presented with KEXP.

Damon Krukowski of Galexie 500 fame, and one half of Damon & Naomi, travels to Seattle to present at PoP Conference (later this week at MoPop, formerly known as EMP) and to speak at KEXP studios tonight. His new book, The New Analog: Listening and Connecting in a Digital World (The New Press), is an exploration of sound from someone who has been involved in experimental music since early incarnations; examining sound across headspace, proximity effect, real time, noise, and distortion—as a basis for a broader exploration of contemporary culture.

“In The New Analog, Damon Krukowski observes that the real changes for the future of audio are not the traditional (and shortsighted) ‘digital vs. analog’ but changes in how we interact with signal and noise, which include how we find and enjoy music. It will never be the same.”--Larry Crane.
