Now that the weather has improved (a little), why not venture out into the natural world? Portland author Daniel Mathews discusses his book, Natural History of the Pacific Northwest Mountains (Timber Press), which covers the Coastal and Cascade Mountain Ranges (and the Olympics and the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Today he gives a brief overview and answers questions about where to hike (and how to identify what you’ve found).
