Hugo Literary Series: Lauren Groff, R.O. Kwon, Kim Fu, & Shelby Earl
“Diving Into the Wreck,” taken from the title of Adrienne Rich’s iconic 1973 poetry collection, is the point of departure for this evening of all-new work presented by a stellar group of fiction writers - Lauren Groff, R.O. Kwon, Kim Fu - and acclaimed singer-songwriter Shelby Earl. Lauren Groff is most recently the author of the National Book Award longlist nominee (waiting for the shortlist announcement at this writing), Florida (Riverhead). R.O. Kwon’s Incendiaries (Riverhead) is one of the year’s noteworthy fiction debuts. Canadian-born Seattle writer Kim Fu has recently published poetry (How Festive the Ambulance) and, earlier this year, the striking novel, The Lost Girls of Camp Forevermore (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). Shelby Earl has received widespread praise for her two albums, Burn the Boats and Swift Arrows.
