A writer and nutrition expert who very much grew up in Seattle, Sophie Egan returns to her hometown from her Bay Area base to discuss her newest book, How To Be a Conscious Eater: Making Food Choices That Are Good for You, Others, and the Planet (Workman). Onstage with her in conversation will be her father, award-winning author and online New York Times columnist Timothy Egan, whose most recent book, A Pilgrimage to Eternity, has Sophie Egan and other members of the Egan Balter clan appearing in supporting roles as part of the story.
