Nancy Singleton Hachisu
We’ve previously hosted James Beard Award-nominated food writer Nancy Singleton Hachisu with her previous books, Japanese Farm Food and Preserving the Japanese Way, and we’re thrilled that she’ll be stopping at Elliott Bay to speak about Japan: The Cookbook (Phaidon). The definitive, home cooking recipe collection includes 400 sumptuous recipes organized by course and including her insightful notes. The dishes—soups, noodles, rices, pickles, one-pots, sweets, and vegetables—are simple and elegant. Nancy Singleton Hachisu lives on a farm in Japan with her family. Her work has appeared in Food & Wine, Saveur, The Art of Eating, and Lucky Peach.
