Nicholas Kristof with Martha Choe

Join us for a powerful conversation with two-time Pulitzer Prize winning author and New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof and long-time Seattle community leader Martha Choe. They will discuss pervasive human rights violations and the oppression of women and girls, while sharing experiences of economic progress when women are empowered to reach their full potential. This program is held in conjunction with the Gates Foundation Visitor Center’s special exhibition "Women Hold Up Half the Sky" inspired by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn’s best-selling book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. The exhibition is on view through January 27, 2018.

This is a free event but pre-registration is required. ID required and no admissions after 6:15pm. Presented by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
