Nick Srnicek, co-author of The Accelerationist Manifesto and Inventing the Future: Post-Capitalism and a World Without Work, is a lecturer in international political economy at City, University of London. His new book Platform Capitalism (Polity) looks critically at the new business form exemplified by Airbnb, Apple, Facebook, GE, Google, Microsoft, Siemens, and Uber tracing its evolution from the downturn of the 1970s through the 2007-8 Financial Crisis. He will be introduced by Jason Adams, Co-Curator of Red May and Co-Founder of The New Centre for Research & Practice.
