The 2022 Crosscut Festival concludes with this keynote program at Town Hall Seattle featuring Nikole Hannah-Jones, who as a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times journalist helped orchestrate the New York Times Magazine issue devoted to 1619 - and what would become, in 2021, the bestselling, landmark book, The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story (One World). Presently the Knight Chair in Race and Journalism at Howard University, where she has also founded the Center for Journalism and Democracy, Nikole Hannah-Jones will be in conversation here at Town Hall this evening with University of Washington professor of political science Christopher Sebastian Parker, author most recently of Change They Can’t Believe In: The Tea Party and Reactionary Politics in America.
