Some good instructive talk should be in the air here tonight as award-winning musician Peter Himmelman, whose honors also include Emmy and Grammy nominations, is here with Sherman Alexie to discuss Peter’s new book, Let Me Out: Unlock Your Creative Mind and Bring Your Ideas to Life (Tarcher/Perigree).  “Peter Himmelman has written an inspiring – and practical – guide to how to unleash our inner creativity. He writes with style, grace, and his insights are spot on. Let Me Out is a must-read for anyone who wants to reach their full potential.”—Dr. Daniel J. Levitin.  “Let Me Out gets to the heart of how we can keep fear from limiting our potential by tapping into our inner resilience, creativity, and strength. There’s deep wisdom here along with very practical tools for translating our ideas into the real world.”—Arianna Huffington. In addition to touring for his new book, Peter Himmelman is also out with a new musical album in hand, There is No Calamity, a collaborative effort with Los Lobos keyboard and sax player Steve Berlin. Part of the pleasure of this evening should be Sherman Alexie’s deft part in helping carry on the conversation. He is a master at it.
