This morning the Saturday University morning spring series on Asian Textiles continues with Rachel Silberstein, a cultural historian and lecturer at the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington. Her lecture topic this morning will be “Fashionable Fripperies: The Decorative Trimming in 19th-Century China.” Presented by the Gardner Center for Asian Art and Ideas, in partnership with the University of Washington Jackson School of International Studies, Seattle University, and the Elliott Bay Book Company.
