Rita Wirkala is an Argentine writer residing in Seattle. She writes novels, poetry, literary essays and textbooks for children and for adults in both English and Spanish and she teaches classes and writing workshops in Spanish for Seattle Escribe. This afternoon she’ll read from her most recent English language book, Tales for The Dreamer (Hoopoe Books), a collection of stories within a story illustrated by the Argentinean artist Mónica Acosta Rodriguez. Her previous books include El Encuentro, which was a finalist for the International Latino Book Award. Co-presented with SEATTLE ESCRIBE.
